Terms and Conditions

1. General Tolerances and Specifications

  • Unless otherwise specified in the customer’s technical documentation (e.g., drawings, CAD files) or purchase order, High Altitude Manufacturing Global Inc. applies the following default standards:
    • Tolerances:
      • Parts up to 5 inches in any dimension: ±0.005 inches
      • Parts between 5 and 10 inches: ±0.010 inches
      • Parts over 10 inches: ±0.020 inches
      • Surface Finish: Standard finish is 0.125 micro inches or better, unless otherwise requested.
      • Customer-provided specifications will take precedence when explicitly stated.

2. Part Cleaning and Packing

  • High Altitude Manufacturing Global Inc. follows these procedures unless directed otherwise by the customer:
  • Cleaning:
    • Steel Parts: Coated with a light oil film to prevent rust during storage and transit.
    • Aluminum and Non-Ferrous Materials: Cleaned with alcohol or mineral spirits to remove contaminants.
  • Packaging:
    • Parts under 5 inches are bulk packed in suitable containers.
      • Parts 5 inches or larger, or delicate items, are individually packaged to prevent damage.
      • Customers supplying materials are responsible for their quality and suitability; the company is not liable for defects arising from such materials.

3. Order Cancellation

  • Orders may be canceled under the following terms:
    • Cancellation requires written notice to High Altitude Manufacturing Global Inc.
  • If work has started, the customer is liable for:
    • Costs of labor and materials incurred up to the cancellation date.
    • A 10% administrative fee based on the total order value.
    • No fees apply if cancellation occurs before work or material procurement begins.
  • Payment Terms
Terms are indicated on invoice. If no terms were granted before issuance of PO, payment will be due at time of shipment.
  • Late payments incur a 1.5% monthly interest charge on the unpaid balance.
  • Acceptable payment methods (e.g., bank transfer, check) will be listed on the invoice.
  • Credit card payments require a 3% service charge to be added to the invoice.
  • For projects exceeding $10,000 or 30 days, milestone-based partial payments may be required.

4. Delivery Terms

  • Shipments are FOB (Free on Board) from High Altitude Manufacturing Global Inc.’s facility.
  • The customer bears shipping costs and assumes risk of loss once parts are handed to the carrier.
  • Shipping methods follow customer instructions or standard practice if unspecified.

5. Warranty

  • Parts are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for 90 days from delivery.
  • Exclusions include:
    • Issues from customer-provided designs, specifications, or materials.
    • Damage from misuse, improper handling, or wear and tear.
    • Defective parts will be repaired or replaced at the company’s discretion, provided defects are reported within the warranty period.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Customer-provided designs, drawings, CAD files, and specifications remain the customer’s property.
  • High Altitude Manufacturing Global Inc. will not use or disclose such information without prior written consent.
  • Customers must not disclose the company’s proprietary processes or trade secrets.

7. Dispute Resolution

  • Disputes will be settled via binding arbitration in Clackamas County Oregon.
  • The arbitrator’s decision is final and binding on both parties.

8. Compliance and Certifications

  • Parts comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASME).
  • Certifications (e.g., material certificates) are available upon request for an additional fee.

9. Order Modifications

  • Changes to orders (e.g., specifications, quantities) must be submitted in writing.
  • Modifications may lead to:
    Additional costs (labor, materials, retooling).
  • Schedule delays.
The company will notify the customer of impacts before proceeding.

10. Force Majeure

  • The company is not liable for delays caused by uncontrollable events, such as natural disasters, strikes, or supply chain issues.

11. Non-Waiver and Severability

  • Failure to enforce any term does not waive it or other terms.
  • If a provision is invalid, the remaining terms remain enforceable.

12. Inspection and Acceptance

  • Customers must inspect parts within 5 business days of delivery and report defects in writing.
  • Unreported defects within this period imply acceptance.

13. Returns and Refunds

  • Returns are accepted only for defective parts under warranty.
  • No refunds are issued for non-defective parts.
  • Defective items must be returned in original packaging for repair or replacement at the company’s discretion.

14. Security and Data Protection

  • Reasonable measures are taken to protect customer data, but the company is not liable for breaches or unauthorized access.

15. Tooling and Fixture Ownership

  • Custom tools and fixtures remain company property unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Customer ownership incurs additional costs, to be specified in the purchase order.

16. Lead Times

  • Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees.
  • The company strives to meet estimated dates but is not liable for delays.

17. Payment Schedules for Large Projects

  • Projects over $10,000 or 30 days may require installment payments tied to milestones, detailed in the purchase order.

18. Progress Reports

  • Updates on project status are available upon request, with frequency and format agreed in advance.

19. Environmental and Safety Compliance

  • The company adheres to applicable environmental and safety regulations.
  • Insurance coverage details are available upon request.

20. Entire Agreement

  • These Terms and Conditions represent the full agreement between High Altitude Manufacturing Global Inc. and the customer, superseding prior agreements unless incorporated into a signed contract.
  • Customers should review these terms before submitting orders; deviations must be specified in writing.
